Cookie & Local Storage Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how AIO Longevity Engine uses cookies, local storage, and service workers. It complies with the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), the Swedish Electronic Communications Act (Lagen om elektronisk kommunikation, LEK), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What Are Cookies & Local Storage?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They are used for various purposes such as remembering your preferences and tracking activity.

Local storage (also called Web Storage) is a similar technology that allows websites to store data directly in your browser. Unlike cookies, local storage data is not sent to the server with every request—it stays securely on your device.

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (implemented in Sweden via the Lag om elektronisk kommunikation), both cookies and local storage are subject to similar transparency and consent requirements.

3. Our Privacy-First Approach

We take a privacy-first approach to browser storage:

• Our web applications do not set any first-party tracking cookies.
• We use local storage primarily for essential functionality (cryptographic authentication) and offline availability.
• We do not use analytics cookies or advertising cookies.
• We do not track you across websites or build advertising profiles.

4. Types of Cookies We Use

We categorise our browser storage into four groups:

• Essential: Strictly necessary for the PWA and Portal to function securely. These handle sessions and authentication. No consent required under ePrivacy Directive Article 5(3).
• Functional: Enhance your experience and enable offline capabilities (e.g., Service Worker caching). Requires consent.
• Analytics: Help us understand usage. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.
• Marketing: We do not use marketing cookies or trackers.

5. Detailed Storage List

The following local storage items are strictly necessary for the Longevity Engine (PWA and Portal) to function securely. They are exempt from consent requirements under the ePrivacy Directive:

6. PWA & Service Worker Caching

To ensure the PWA loads instantly—even in gym environments with poor cell service—we utilize browser Service Workers to cache application assets. This functional caching can be controlled via your device settings, but disabling it may degrade offline functionality.

7. Third-Party Technologies & Embeds

The following third-party services are loaded on our platform and may process your data:

8. Your Consent & Legal Basis

Under EU law, we must obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device. Necessary cryptographic storage does not require consent, while functional offline caching requires your explicit opt-in.

9. How to Manage Your Browser Storage

You can control and delete local storage data at any time through your browser settings:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear Browsing Data → Cookies and other site data
• Safari (iOS/macOS): Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data
• Edge: Settings → Privacy, Search, and Services → Clear Browsing Data

Note: Clearing local storage will securely log you out of the Longevity Engine. You can log back in at any time.
